Using the AI Responder to reply to Google Reviews

The Betterbunch AI Responder takes the hassle out of responding to reviews by instantly drafting the perfect reply for you. Enjoy faster, easier, and perfectly consistent responses that turn what used to be a tedious chore into a quick 10-second task.

Tip: We recommend blocking a few minutes on your calendar every Thursday (or whichever day works best for you) to respond to all new reviews. 

How to respond to a review using AI

  1. Log in to your Betterbunch account.

  2. Go to Reviews in the left-hand menu. (Tip: Use the filters to view All, Replied, or Unreplied reviews).

  3. Click the purple Reply icon next to an unreplied review.

  4. A pop-up will appear with a drafted, AI-generated reply.

  5. If it's not quite right, click Try Another to generate a fresh response, or click into the text box to type and edit the text directly.

  6. Click Reply on Google to publish it straight to your Google Business Profile. Done!

Update "Your Voice" to match your brand

If you want your AI replies to sound exactly like you, personalise the AI by adding your own examples to your settings.

  1. Go to Settings in the bottom-left menu.

  2. Open the Your Voice tab.

  3. In the text boxes, type an example of how you would personally reply to a:

    • 1-star review

    • 3-star review

    • 5-star review

  4. If you want the AI to avoid certain words (like "stoked" or "mate"), type the word into the Words to Avoid section and press Enter after each one to lock it in.

  5. Click Save.

From now on, the AI Responder will study your examples and write future replies in your tone of voice. 

Account limits and trouble shooting

AI Response Limits

Your Betterbunch account includes up to 200 AI credits each month, and this limit automatically refreshes on the 1st of every month. Each time you click the purple Reply button or ask the AI to Try Another, it counts as one credit.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing the Reply button? You need to connect your Google Business Profile (GBP) to Betterbunch first.

  • No reviews showing up? Make sure you are logged into the specific Google account that manages your GBP. If you aren't sure who owns it, learn how to find your GBP login details here.
