Q: What is an invitation limit?
A: An invitation limit refers to the total number of invitations that your subscription allows you to send each month.
Q: How many invitation credits are included in my plan?
A:
- Pro-plan subscriptions include 250 SMS invitation credits and unlimited email invitation credits per month.
- Starter-plan subscriptions include 100 combined SMS and email invitation credits per month.
Q: How do I check how many invitation credits I have remaining?
A: You can check your invitation limit and the remaining number of invitation credits by looking at the bar located in the top right corner of your invitation page.
Q: Is there a character limit for SMS invitations?
A: Yes. Each SMS credit allows you to send one message up to 160 characters long.
If your invitation exceeds this character limit, it will be delivered to your customer as one SMS, but it will consume 2 or more credits accordingly.
When selecting your SMS invitation template, a warning will appear if your invitation exceeds 160 characters. The warning will display how many invitation credits your SMS is expected to use.
Tip: If you expect to use less than half of your invitation credits, we suggest selecting an SMS template that exceeds 160 characters and uses multiple invitation credit. This approach allows you to personalise your SMS invitation, leading to increased engagement from your recipients.
Caution: An SMS that exceeds 160 characters will use 2+ invitation credits.
Q: What contributes to the character count of an SMS invitation?
Your SMS character count includes:
- Customer name
- Business name
- Your betterbunch invitation link
- 'reply stop to opt-out'
Tip: Consider abbreviating your business name to help reduce your character count. For example, 'betterbunch' uses fewer characters than 'betterbunch Limited'.
Q: How many credits does an email invitation use?
A:
- If you are subscribed to the Starter plan, each email invitation will consume 1 invitation credit.
- If you are on a Pro plan, you can send email invitations without using any credits, as Pro plans offer unlimited email invitations.
Q: Is there a character limit for email invitations?
No. Email invitations do not have a character limit.
Q: Do promotor retargeting emails use credits?
A: Promotor retargeting emails are not counted against your invitation credits.
Q: Can I purchase more invitation credits?
A: Yes. You can purchase extra invitation credits by letting us know here.
Q: How much do extra invitation credits cost?
A: Additional SMS credits are available for NZD$16 per pack of 100. You can also buy multiple packs at once, allowing you to easily increase your credits to meet your needs.
Q: Can I permanently increase my invitation limit?
A: Absolutely! If you expect to reach your invitation limit each month, you have the option to pre-purchase additional invitation credits. This allows you to maintain a consistent supply of 350, 450, or even 1,050 credits each month throughout the year.

Q: What will happen when I reach my invitation limit?

- If you are on the Starter plan and have reached your monthly invitation limit, any new invitations you try to send will display the status limit reached in your invitation logs. These invitations will be queued and sent to your customers once your limit resets on the 1st of the following month, or immediately if you choose to purchase additional invitation credits.
- If you are on a Pro plan and have reached your monthly invitation limit, any new invitations that include an email address will be delivered via email. Any new invitations that do not include an email address will display the status limit reached in your invitation logs. These pending invitations will be queued and sent to your customers once your limit resets on the 1st of the following month or immediately if you choose to purchase additional invitation credits.

Q: What day of the month do my credits renew?
All invitation limits are reset on the 1st of each month.
Q: What happens if I don't use all of my invitation credits?
A: All invitation credits expire at the end of each month. Unused credits will not roll over and can not be accumulated.
Q: Should I buy more SMS credits?
A: If you reach your invitation limit early in the month, we recommend that you purchase additional SMS credits to ensure your invitations are sent without delay. Timely follow-ups with customers are crucial, as they often yield the best results and higher conversion rates. Engaging with customers while their experience is still fresh in their minds enhances your chances of positive feedback and helps identify any dissatisfied customers before they share their experiences widely.
