Each Betterbunch subscription includes 250 SMS invitation credits per month and unlimited email invitations.
If you need to send more SMS invitations, you can purchase additional SMS credits. Purchased additional SMS credits do not expire at the end of the month. They remain available until they are used, or until your betterbunch subscription ends.
Invitation credits included in your plan
Each betterbunch subscription includes:
- 250 SMS invitation credits per month
- Unlimited email invitation credits
You can check your SMS invitation limit and the number of credits you have remaining by looking at the bar in the top right corner of your invitation page.
How SMS invitation credits work
Each SMS credit allows you to send one message up to 160 characters long.
If your SMS invitation exceeds 160 characters, it will still be delivered to your customer as one SMS, but it will use 2 or more SMS credits.
When selecting your SMS invitation template, a warning will appear if your invitation exceeds 160 characters. The warning will show how many invitation credits your SMS is expected to use.
Your SMS character count includes:
- Customer name
- Business name
- Your Betterbunch invitation link
- Unsubscribe functionality
Tip: Consider abbreviating your business name to help reduce your character count. For example, 'Betterbunch' uses fewer characters than 'Betterbunch Limited'.
How email invitations work
Email invitations do not have a character limit and do not use invitation credits. Promotor Retargeting and No Interaction Retargeting emails are not counted against your invitation credits.
When your monthly credits reset
Monthly SMS invitation limits reset on the 1st of each month.
SMS credits included in your subscription expire at the end of the month in which they are allocated. This also applies to any free, promotional, bonus, or gifted SMS credits provided by Betterbunch.
Unused included credits do not roll over and cannot be accumulated.
Purchasing additional SMS credits
If you need to send more SMS invitations than your monthly plan includes, you can purchase additional SMS credits. Just ask the chatbot in the bottom right of your screen to put you in touch with our team to help.
Additional SMS credits are available for $16 per pack of 100. You can also buy multiple packs at once, allowing you to increase your available SMS credits to meet your needs.
Purchased additional SMS credits are added to your account and become available once your included monthly SMS credits have been used.
Additional SMS credits are non-refundable.
Buying SMS credits in bulk
If your business has a high turnover of jobs and you want to make sure all eligible invitations are sent by SMS, you can purchase additional SMS credits in bulk.
Bulk SMS credits can help prevent invitations from being delayed when your monthly SMS limit is reached. This is useful for businesses that send a high volume of customer invitations and want SMS delivery to continue throughout the month.
Purchased additional SMS credits do not expire at the end of the month. They remain available on your account until they are used, or until your Betterbunch subscription ends, whichever occurs first.
What happens when you reach your SMS invitation limit
If you have reached your monthly SMS invitation limit, any new invitations that include an email address will be delivered via email.
Any new invitations that do not include an email address will display the status limit reached in your invitation logs.
These pending invitations will be queued and sent to your customers once your limit resets on the 1st of the following month, or if you purchase additional SMS credits.
Should you buy more SMS credits?
If you reach your SMS invitation limit early in the month, purchasing additional SMS credits can help make sure your invitations are sent without delay.
Timely follow-ups with customers are important because they often lead to better response rates. Reaching customers while their experience is still fresh can increase your chances of positive feedback and help you identify dissatisfied customers sooner.
If your business has a high turnover of jobs, you may want to purchase additional SMS credits in bulk so your SMS invitations continue sending even after your monthly SMS limit has been reached.
