What is No Interaction Retargeting?

No Interaction Retargeting is a simple setting in betterbunch that helps you get more reviews and feedback, automatically.

When it’s ON, betterbunch sends a follow-up email to customers who didn’t interact with their first invitation. It’s a hands-free way to boost your response rate.

 How No Interaction Retargeting works

Here’s what happens when the setting is enabled:

  1. Your customer receives their original feedback invite (via SMS or email).

  2. If they don’t:

    • Click the link in the SMS, or

    • Interact with the email (thumbs up/down),

  3. betterbunch sends a follow-up email 24 hours later, prompting them to share their experience.

This follow-up gives your customers a second chance to respond, without you needing to do anything.

When No Interaction Retargeting is OFF, customers will only receive the original invite. No follow-up will be sent.

No Interaction Retargeting gives them a gentle nudge at a better time, which:

  • Increases your review and feedback rates

How to turn No Interaction Retargeting ON or OFF

You can choose to turn No Interaction Retargeting ON or OFF by following these instructions:

  1. Login to your betterbunch account

  2. Click Settings from the bottom left of the screen
  3. Click the Rules tab
  4. Toggle No Interaction Retargeting ON or OFF
  5. Click Save

Note: No Interaction Retargeting messages are sent by email only, so make sure customer email addresses are included in your invitations (single, bulk, or automated).

Q: What if a customer clicks thumbs up but doesn't proceed to Google?

A: That’s handled by Promoter Retargeting, a separate feature that sends a reminder to customers who said they were happy but didn’t go on to review.

Q: Does No Interaction Retargeting cost anything extra?

A: Nope—No Interaction Retargeting is included in all betterbunch plans.

Q: Does it use any of my invitation credits?

A: Nope! These follow-ups are email-only and don’t affect your credit balance. Learn how invitation credits work here.   

Q: Can I customise the email content or timing?

A: Not at this stage. The message is fixed and the follow-up sends exactly 24 hours after the original invite.
If you want more control, you can always run a manual retargeting campaign.

Q: Can I send the reminder via SMS instead?

A: No—this feature is email-only. SMS reminders can be sent manually if needed.
