Some of us are great at remembering names. Others, not so much.
If your customer management system includes names like Ben (prefers Benjamin) or Suzanne (Bill from Accounts neighbour), then it's probably best you take the customer name out of your Betterbunch invite.
Including customers' names in your Betterbunch invitations helps personalise the message which impaction conversion rate, so we always recommend including customer names where possible. However, "Hi Koa (the surfer kid with the blonde hair)" might be a bit out of line.

Login to your Betterbunch account

Head to the Settings page on the bottom left of your dashboard

From there, navigate to the Invitations tab
- Click the choose message dropdown and select SMS invitation
- Select the Custom template and remove the {recipient_name} text
- Click Save. It's that easy!

Removing customer names for single invitations
If you're sending a single invitation, the best way to remove a customer name is not to include a name in the first place.

Follow the steps in this article to create a single invitation to one customer
- When you're asked to enter the customer details, just skip the 'customer name' box and include their cellphone number and email only instead

Removing customer names for bulk invitations
If you're sending a bulk invitation list to multiple customers, the best way to remove a customer name is to exclude it from the csv. file all together. Or even better yet, just edit the name in your csv. file to match the right tone.

- When you are asked to format your csv.file like this, simply remove any customer names that you don't want to appear on the invitations or update them to match the right tone.
For example, you may change "Alfie with the red hair" to "Alf" - It's as simple as that
