In this article, you'll learn how to configure your SAM account so that your feedback invitations are sent automatically
If you use SAM software for job management, you can send feedback invitations that include your betterbunch link directly from your SAM portal.
This will save valuable admin time as you can simply tick a box inside SAM to send your invitations, rather than manually sending using the single or bulk methods within betterbunch.
It's important to note that all SAM versions have the ability to send SMS at the end of a job, but you may incur a cost for introducing the SMS add-on feature, as well as ongoing costs for SMS usage. Please check with SAM customer support for more information on the costs involved in sending an SMS from your SAM account.
How to connect your SAM account
Check out the steps below to connect betterbunch with SAM so that your invitations are automatically sent through SAM when a job is completed.
- First things first, we need to generate your betterbunch custom URL. Simply complete this form asking for your URL, and we'll get it to you right away.
- Once you have your custom URL, reach out to SAM customer support and ask them to complete the following. to attach your betterbunch URL and message. You'll need to ask them to complete the following:
- Turn on the SMS add-on feature for your SAM account (note that costs may apply)
- Liven add-on 53 for your SAM account
- Attach your custom message. We recommend something like...
"Hi (customer name), it's (your name) from (business name).
Can you please share your thoughts on our recent service here: (insert your custom URL) - Once SAM has completed the setup, the next time you invoice a customer within SAM, you will see a new checkbox called 'send follow up'. Make sure this is ticked to send the betterbunch invitation to your customers. If you don't want to send a follow-up invitation to a customer for whatever reason, simply untick the checkbox before invoicing. The power is in your hands.
- We always recommend sending yourself a test invite to check that everything is running smoothly. To do this, you'll need to create a dummy invoice in SAM to see how it looks.
- To get the most out of your subscription, be sure to schedule a weekly timeslot in your calendar to complete this checklist too.
Just a few final reminders: when the SAM integration is enabled, we can not track your customer's interaction with the invitations as they are sent through SAM. This means they will not show up in your invitations tab or dashboard.
Once you have invoiced the customer, your feedback invitations will be sent from SAM the following business day.
If you want to change the feedback message sent from SAM, you can do so within your SAM portal. Navigate to Maintenance > System Setup > Forms > SMS tab > Feedback, as seen in the example below.
