betterbunch Links

We're excited to introduce betterbunch Links—Custom links that can be shared anywhere, helping gather more feedback and reviews than ever before.

Feature Overview

betterbunch Links are personalised URLs that can be shared anywhere online, asking your customers to provide feedback and reviews of your service.

Think—a button on your website, a prompt in your email signatures or a link in your monthly e-newsletter, all asking for feedback and reviews from different areas of your business.

Here's an example of our betterbunch Shareable Link in action. This is what your customers would experience when they interact with your betterbunch Link.

The benefit of a betterbunch Link is that, just like with traditional betterbunch invitations, satisfied customers will be encouraged to leave a review, while unhappy customers will be prompted to share private feedback.

Each time the link is clicked, it's recorded as a unique invitation in your Invitation Logs, allowing you to monitor the number of clicks and feedback received.

Tip: To encourage interaction with your Link, leverage Better Rewards. When a contact shares feedback via your betterbunch Link, they will be entered into the draw to win a $500 voucher provided by betterbunch.

Tip: In addition to sharing Links online, download our ready-to-print Shareables—Posters, flyers, table stands and other printable material designed to gather even more feedback and reviews.

Caution: Google prohibits businesses from providing incentives in return for reviews, including payments, and free products or services. The Better Rewards program allows customers to enter a draw to win a $500 voucher in exchange for positive or negative feedback.

Users mustn't inform customers that leaving a positive review is a requirement for entry into the draw.

  2. Navigate to Shareables in the left menu.

  6. If you want your Link to offer the contact the chance to enter the Better Rewards draw to win $500, turn the Incentive Toggle ON.
  7. To copy the link, hover over the Link tile and Click to copy. Feel free to return to this page whenever you need to copy the link again.
  8. Add the Link to your online material for customers to engage with. View real-life examples of betterbunch Links to spark inspiration and ideas.

Note: To review and compare multiple Links at once, click on the pie chart icon in the top right corner of the tiles you wish to analyze. This will display a summary of the results for your selected tiles.

Note: For in-depth analysis of your Link results, export your invitation log as a CSV file and build custom reports using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Tip: Use Links to create team incentives. Create one Link for Jill's email signature and another for Tony's. betterbunch tracks the clicks and feedback of each link so you can easily see which Link resulted in the highest Google reviews or negative feedback.

Then, shout lunch to the team player who received the most positive feedback.

Example of betterbunch Links in Action

Inserting a hyperlinked sentence in your emails or newsletters asking for feedback

A hyperlink (or simply a "link") is a clickable element on a web page that directs you to another resource. Hyperlinks are a fundamental part of the web, enabling easy navigation between interconnected resources.

Turn your Link into a hyperlinked phrase such as 'Let us know how we did here'.

Here's an example of our betterbunch Shareable Link in a hyperlinked phrase.

Paste the hyperlink phrase in your email signatures, on your website, in your invoice reminders, or anywhere else online that your customers may interact with you.

The location and appearance of the hyperlink tool may vary depending on the platform you're working from. In most programmes, the tool for hyperlinking text will look like a chain link 🔗.

Sending betterbunch invitations from another CRM

If your business uses a job management platform or customer relationship management software that can send SMS or email communications (such as SAM Automotive Software or Exact Dental Software), create a shortened Link and follow the instructions provided by your chosen software to set up automated messaging to distribute your new Link to your customers.

When creating your betterbunch link, click the Shorten link toggle in step number 4 to shorten the URL so it is suitable for sending via your third-party SMS messaging program.

Tip: If you are already sending a betterbunch Link (previously known as a Custom URL) from your job management software, we suggest updating your existing Custom URL to a new betterbunch Link.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens if a customer clicks on the link multiple times?

A: If a user clicks on your Link multiple times, betterbunch will recognise them as returning visitors and only display one invitation in your Invitation Log.

After 7 days, if the user clicks on the link again, they will be recognised as a new customer, and a new invitation will be generated in your invitation logs.

Q: If someone leaves negative feedback via a Link, can I see their details?

A: If a customer indicates they are unhappy with your service, they will be prompted to provide feedback. After submitting their comments, they will be directed to a page where they can optionally enter their name, email address, and phone number.

When feedback is shared, an email will be sent to your notification email address.

You can access and review their comments in your feedback menu. If the customer chooses to provide their contact information, it will also be visible on this page.

Q: I want to incentivise my customers to share their feedback. Can I turn my existing Link into a Link that enters the customer into the draw to win?

A: No. If you have an existing Link that was not created as part of the Better Rewards program you can not change the link to allow customers into the draw.

Instead, create a new Link and ensure the Incentive Toggle is turned ON.

Q: How does Promotor Retargeting work with betterbunch Links?

A: If a customer clicks your betterbunch Link, leaves their details to enter the draw, and indicates they are happy with your service, but does not proceed to leave a review on your chosen review site, 24 hours later, betterbunch will deliver a promotor retargeting email asking them to share.

If the customer does not leave their contact details, they will not be contacted again via promotor retargeting.
