This article provides a step-by-step guide for creating a retargeting campaign aimed at engaging customers who have not yet shared their feedback.
Some invitees may not have interacted with your initial betterbunch invitation.
To encourage interaction and maximise results, consider running a retargeting campaign, which involves sending a secondary invite to customers who have not shared their experience.
Steps to create a retargeting campaign
To run a retargeting campaign, follow the steps outlined below:
- Login to your betterbunch account.
- Navigate to the Invitations page on the left menu.
- Click Export in the top right corner to export a list of all previous invitees.
- Consider formatting your list to remove customers you prefer not to retarget, such as:
- Contacts with the invitation status 'Clicked unhappy'
- Contacts with the invitation status 'Provided feedback'
- Contacts with the invitation status 'Clicked review site'
- Changing your Cool Off Period setting to avoid manually overwriting the cool-off warning.
- Navigate to settings on the bottom right of your betterbunch dashboard
- Open the Rules tab
- In the Cool Off Period textbox, type your chosen number of days. We recommend 30 days.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
- From your dashboard, click Create Invitation and navigate to the bulk upload tab
- Select Browse or drag and drop your retargeting campaign list into the box
- Before clicking send, we suggest editing your invite to suit your brand tone. This is a great way to increase interactions with your invites.
- Click Edit Invitation.
- From the Select a Template dropdown, choose a prewritten message or type your own in the Custom 1 > 5 textbox.
- Click Update for this send only to save your changes.
- Similarly, consider changing your email invitation template to something more 'on-brand' too.
- Click Edit Invitation.
- Navigate to the email template tab and type your message.
- Click Update for this send only to save your changes.
- Click Send Invitation, and choose to send your invites now or schedule them to be sent at your preferred time.
Caution: Remember to change your Cool Off Period back to its original settings. You can do this by repeating step number 5.
