Learn how to create your own Shareable designs using QR Codes and free, online design tools
Feature Overview
With betterbunch, you can easily create betterbunch QR codes that can be added to printed materials using free design tools like Canva or Adobe.
We call these printed materials Shareables.
Imagine this: a custom-designed business card that encourages customers to scan and provide feedback, or a flyer placed on the kitchen counter after a heat pump service, inviting the tenant to share their thoughts for a chance to win a $500 voucher (provided by betterbunch, by the way).
When someone scans the betterbunch QR code featured in your Shareable, they will be directed to your Happy vs. Unhappy page, simplifying their experience in sharing feedback.
Satisfied customers are encouraged to leave positive reviews, while those who are unhappy are asked to share private feedback. This approach enhances your online reviews and safeguards your reputation at the same time.
Each scan is logged as a unique invitation in your Invitation Logs, enabling you to track and measure clicks and feedback collected through the link.
There are two types of QR codes we can generate and add to your Shareables. Better Rewards QR codes, and regular QR codes.
Regular QR Codes
Just like a typical betterbunch outreach invitation, regular betterbunch QR Codes follow this flow:
- When someone scans the QR code, they will be taken to your Happy vs. Unhappy page, making it easy for them to share their experience.
- Happy customers will be asked to share their positive experiences on your chosen review site.
- Unhappy customers will be asked to share their unhappy feedback privately, so you're able to address their concerns and grow.
- Every scan is recorded so you can track how many times customers have interacted with the Shareable, and whether those customers are smiling or frowning about that area of your service.
Give it a go and see for yourself—this is exactly what your customers will experience when scanning a regular QR code!
Better Rewards QR Codes
Better Rewards is designed to motivate customers to provide feedback by giving them the opportunity to win a $500 gift card. Here's how a Better Reward QR Code works.
- When someone scans your Better Reward QR code, they will be asked to provide their name and email address for the chance to win.
- After sharing their contact details they will be taken to your Happy vs. Unhappy page, making it easy for them to share their experience.
- Just like your typical outreach invitations, happy customers will be asked to share their positive experiences on your chosen review site. They'll also be informed they've entered the draw to win.
- On the flip side, unhappy customers will be entered into the draw and asked to share their unhappy feedback privately, so you're able to address their concerns and grow.
- Every scan is recorded so you can track how many times customers have interacted with the Shareable, and whether those customers are smiling or frowning about that area of your service.
Experience the process firsthand—this is what your customers will encounter when they scan a Better Reward QR code!

Tip: In addition to adding Shareable QR codes to your designs, consider adding betterbunch Links to your online content too. Step-by-step guide to designing your own Shareables
Follow these steps to create your Shareable.
- Login to your betterbunch account.
- Navigate to Shareables in the left menu.
- Open the QR Codes tab.
- Click Add new QR code and give the code a unique name to quickly identify where it is displayed. We recommend using a descriptive name like 'Peters business card' or 'Waiting room poster'.
- If you want to create a Better Reward QR Code that offers the scanner a chance to win $500, turn the Incentive Toggle ON. Alternatively, leave the toggle OFF to create a regular QR Code.
- Choose your pattern style, corner style, foreground colour, and background colour.
If you want to apply your brand colours, click the + icon next to the colour selection to choose from the palette or enter your Hex colour code. - Once you're satisfied with your design selections, click Create QR Code to generate your QR Code.
- To download the QR code, hover over the tile and Click to copy. Feel free to return to this page whenever you need to download the QR code again.
- If you have pre-designed material, insert your new QR code into the DIY Shareable design, then print with your local printing professional.
- Alternatively, create a new design using a free design tool like Canva. Canva is an online design platform that enables users to create professional-quality designs easily, without needing extensive graphic design skills. It offers a wide range of customisable templates to choose from. Drag and drop your new QR code and logo into the templates to create new Shareable collateral.
Caution: Google prohibits businesses from providing incentives in return for reviews, including payments, and free products or services. The Better Rewards program allows customers to enter a draw to win a $500 voucher in exchange for positive or negative feedback. Users are not required to leave a review to enter the Better Rewards draw.
Users should not inform customers that leaving a positive review is a requirement for entry into the draw.
Tip: Consider using a professional printing service for your Shareables! Not only will it give you a beautifully finished product, but it can also save you money compared to printing yourself. Plus, you can place your order in just a few minutes!

Example of betterbunch QR Codes in Action
Flyers left onsite
Design a flyer that can be placed on the kitchen counter after a service job is finished. The flyer can include a message inviting customers to share feedback on the completed work, such as "Scan the QR code to provide your thoughts on our service today."
The benefits of leaving a feedback flyer onsite at the end of a job are:
- The ability to engage with your customers immediately after the job is completed. When you reach out to them during their 'ah-ha' moment of seeing the finished works, they are more inclined to leave a review, increasing interaction rates.
- The ability to connect with a broader audience increases the likelihood of receiving more reviews and feedback. While you may send an outreach invitation to the primary contact, you might not have details for other key people on-site who also experienced your great service. By leaving a flyer, you create an opportunity to gather insights from everyone who directly benefited from your work.
- Incorporating Better Rewards into your Shareable flyer is a great idea too. Offering the customer the chance to win a $500 voucher (provided by betterbunch remember) in exchange for their feedback is a great way to prompt a review from the Mum, Dad, and flatmate.
Table stands in a restaurant or cafe
Place Shareable table stands throughout your venue. Ensure that staff members know these displays and emphasise the importance of delivering exceptional service that deserves great customer feedback.
In hospitality, customers tend to voice complaints more than they share positive experiences. The advantage of using betterbunch QR codes is that satisfied customers will be directed to your review site, while unhappy customers will be asked to provide private feedback.
This helps protect your online reputation while promoting new reviews to grow your online status.
Posters in the office
Place a prominently displayed poster at the front counter or in the waiting area, encouraging customers to share their feedback and experiences with your services.
This can help generate feedback from contacts outside your usual job flow. For example, the Courier Driver might share a review about how welcoming your team is while they're waiting for you to finish a call.
Team incentives
Create a QR code for each team member, and run a staff incentive programme. Offer a lunch voucher or an early Friday finish for the team member who generated the most reviews each month.
You can track how often each Shareable is scanned, and the sentiment from each code so you can easily see who has had the biggest impact on your review success.
To make it easier on the team, leverage Better Rewards by turning the incentive toggle ON. This allows your team to encourage customers to share feedback by saying, "Scan this QR code to share your feedback for a chance to win a $500 voucher," instead of asking them to leave a review, which may feel more natural.
