betterbunch QR Codes

Metter betterbunch QR Codes—Printed Links you can display anywhere to collect more reviews than ever!

Feature Overview

Create betterbunch QR codes and add them to your custom-branded Shareable designs to gather feedback from every area of your business.

Think—A custom-designed poster at your front counter, a personalised flyer left behind after a repair, or a branded table stand at a restaurant all displaying your betterbunch QR code. These QR codes make it easy to gather insights from every corner of your business.

Just like our regular betterbunch invitations, when someone scans your QR code, they’re taken to your Happy vs. Unhappy page, making it easy to share their experience. Happy customers are prompted to leave glowing reviews while less happy ones are asked to share private feedback.

Each time the QR code is scanned, it's recorded as a unique invite in your Invitation Logs. This allows you to monitor the number of clicks and feedback received through each QR code.

There are two types of QR codes we can generate. Better Rewards, and regular QR codes.

Regular QR Codes

Just like your typical betterbunch outreach invitation, a regular QR Code follows this journey:

  1. When someone scans the QR code, they will be taken to your Happy vs. Unhappy page, making it easy for them to share their experience.
  2. Happy customers will be asked to share their positive experiences on your chosen review site.
  3. Unhappy customers will be asked to share their unhappy feedback privately, so you're able to address their concerns and grow.
  4. Every scan is recorded so you can track how many customers have interacted with the QR code, and whether those customers are smiling or frowning about that area of your service.

Give it a go and see for yourself—this is exactly what your customers will experience when scanning a regular QR code!

Better Rewards QR Codes

Better Rewards is designed to motivate customers to provide feedback by offering the chance to win a $500 gift card. Here's how a Better Reward QR Code works.

  1. When someone scans your Better Reward QR code, they will be asked to provide their name and email address to enter the draw.
  2. After sharing their contact details they will be taken to your Happy vs. Unhappy page, making it easy for them to share their experience.
  3. Just like your typical outreach invitations, happy customers will be asked to share their positive experiences on your chosen review site. They'll also be informed they've entered the draw to win.
  4. On the flip side, unhappy customers will be entered into the draw and asked to share their unhappy feedback privately, so you're able to address their concerns and grow.
  5. Every scan is recorded so you can track how many customers have interacted with the QR code, and whether those customers are smiling or frowning about that area of your service.

Experience the process firsthand—this is what your customers will encounter when they scan a Better Reward QR code!

Tip: If you don't have time to create your own branded material to display QR Codes, check out our ready-to-print Shareables for a range of pre-designed flyers, posters, stickers and other collateral.

Tip: In addition to printed QR codes, add betterbunch Links to your online content too. Links allow you to create buttons and links on your website, in your e-newsletters, or within your email signatures that invite customers to provide feedback and share reviews.

Caution: Google prohibits businesses from providing incentives in return for reviews, including payments, and free products or services. The Better Rewards program allows customers to enter a draw to win a $500 voucher in exchange for positive or negative feedback.

Users mustn't inform customers that leaving a positive review is a requirement for entry into the draw.

Note: To review and compare multiple QR codes at once, click on the pie chart icon in the top right corner of the tiles you wish to analyze. This will display a summary of the results for your selected tiles.

Note: For in-depth analysis of your QR code results, export your invitation log as a CSV file and build custom reports using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Tip: Use QR codes to create team incentives. Create one QR code for Tim and another for Ellie. betterbunch tracks the clicks and feedback of each QR code so you can easily see which QR code resulted in the highest Google reviews or negative feedback.

Then, shout lunch to the team player who received the most positive feedback.

Example of QR Codes in Action

Flyers left onsite

Design a flyer that can be placed on the kitchen counter after a service job is finished. The flyer can include a message inviting customers to share feedback on the completed work, such as "Scan the QR code to provide your thoughts on our service today."

The benefits of leaving a feedback flyer onsite at the end of a job are:

  • The ability to engage with your customers immediately after the job is completed. When you reach out to them during their 'ah-ha' moment of seeing the finished works, they are more inclined to leave a review, increasing interaction rates.
  • The ability to connect with a broader audience increases the likelihood of receiving more reviews and feedback. While you may send an outreach invitation to the primary contact, you might not have details for other key people on-site who also experienced your great service. By leaving a flyer, you create an opportunity to gather insights from everyone who directly benefited from your work.
  • Incorporating Better Rewards into your QR codes is a great idea too. Offering the customer the chance to win a $500 voucher (provided by betterbunch remember) in exchange for their feedback is a great way to prompt a review from the Mum, Dad, and flatmate.

Table stands in a restaurant or cafe

Place printed table stands featuring your QR code throughout your venue. Ensure that staff members know these displays and emphasise the importance of delivering exceptional service that deserves great customer feedback.

In hospitality, customers tend to voice complaints more than they share positive experiences. The advantage of using betterbunch QR codes is that satisfied customers will be directed to your review site, while unhappy customers will be asked to provide private feedback.

This helps protect your online reputation while promoting new reviews to grow your online status.

Posters in the office

Place a prominently displayed poster at the front counter or in the waiting area, encouraging customers to share their feedback and experiences with your services.

This can help generate feedback from contacts outside your usual job flow. For example, the Courier Driver might share a review about how welcoming your team is while they're waiting for you to finish a call.

Team incentives

Create a QR code for each team member, and run a staff incentive programme. Offer a lunch voucher or an early Friday finish for the team member who generated the most reviews each month.

You can track how often each QR code is scanned, and the sentiment from each code so you can easily track who has had the biggest impact on your review success.

To make it easier on the team, leverage Better Rewards by turning the incentive toggle ON.

This allows your team to encourage customers to share feedback by saying, "Scan this QR code to share your feedback for a chance to win a $500 voucher," instead of asking them to leave a review, which may feel more natural.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens if a customer scans the QR code multiple times?

A: If a user scans your QR code multiple times, betterbunch will recognise them as returning visitors and only display one invitation in your Invitation Log.

After 7 days, if the user scans the QR code again, they will be recognised as a new customer, and a new invitation will be generated in your invitation logs.

Q: If a contact leaves negative feedback via a QR Code, can I see their details?

A: If a customer indicates they are unhappy with your service, they will be prompted to provide feedback. After submitting their comments, they will be asked to share their name, email address, and phone number. Sharing their details is optional.

When feedback is shared, an email will be sent to your notification email address. You can access and review their comments in your feedback menu. If the customer chooses to provide their contact information, it will also be visible on this page.

Q: I want to incentivise my customers to share their feedback. Can I turn my regular QR code into a Better Rewards QR Code that enters the customer into the draw to win?

A: Yes. If you have a regular QR Code that does not offer the scanner the chance to enter the Better Rewards draw, you can convert the QR Code into a Better Reward code to allow any new scanner into the draw.

To do this, navigate to your Shareables page, open the QR Code tab, and click on the 3 dots above the QR Code you wish to edit. Click Edit Design and turn the Incentive Toggle ON

Q: How does Promotor Retargeting work with betterbunch QR codes?

A: If a customer scans your Better Reward QR code, leaves their details to enter the draw, and indicates they are happy with your service, but does not proceed to leave a review on your chosen review site, 24 hours later, betterbunch will deliver a promotor retargeting email asking them to share.

If the customer does not leave their contact details, they will not be contacted again via promotor retargeting.
