We're excited to introduce Shareable QR Codes—Printed Links that can be displayed and shared anywhere, helping gather more reviews than ever before. This is a beta launch, so we're eager for feedback to help refine the feature before its release.
Feature Overview
This feature allows you to create and measure betterbunch QR codes, known as Shareable QR codes.
Think— a poster displayed at the front counter, a flyer left on the kitchen bench after the leaky tap repair, or a table stand at a restaurant all asking for feedback and reviews from different areas of your business.
The benefit of a betterbunch Shareable QR code is that, just like with traditional betterbunch invitations, satisfied customers will be encouraged to share a review, while dissatisfied customers will be prompted to leave private feedback. This helps boost your online reviews and safeguards your online reputation at the same time.
When users scan the Shareable QR code, they are directed to your Happy V Unhappy page, where they can share their sentiments.
Give our shareable QR code a try. This is what your customers would experience when they interact with your Shareable QR Code:
Tip: To encourage interaction with your Shareable Invitation, consider turning it into a Retter Rewards Invitation. When a contact scans your QR Code, they will be entered into the draw to win a $500 voucher.
Each time the QR code is scanned, it's recorded as a unique invite in your Invitation Logs. This allows you to monitor the click count and the feedback received through the link.
For instance, you could add a Shareable QR code to a sticker that's attached to your takeaway orders and another to a table stand in the restaurant, both prompting customer feedback. Shareable QR codes allow you to track the click count and sentiment for each QR code and identify which link resulted in the highest Google reviews or negative feedback.
As this is a beta release, we’re eager to hear your feedback to help us refine Shareable QR codes before its full launch.
Tip: In addition to using Shareable QR codes in your printed materials, consider incorporating Shareable Links into your online content as well. Shareable Links allow you to create buttons and links on your website, in your e-newsletters, or within your email signatures that invite customers to provide feedback and share their reviews.

Tracking and measuring the results of your Shareable Links
- Login to your betterbunch account.
- Navigate to Shareables in the left menu.
- Open the QR Codes tab.
- Click on the three dots located on the right side of the Shareable QR code tile you wish to analyse, and then choose the Analytics option from the menu.
- Review the data in the pop-up.
- The first bar, labelled 'Clicked Link', shows the cumulative number of times visitors have scanned the Shareable QR code.
- The second bar illustrates the total number of visitors who said they were happy on the left side compared to the number of visitors who reported they were unhappy on the right side.
- The third bar displays the number of happy visitors who proceeded to your chosen review site on the left side, in comparison with the number of unhappy visitors who provided negative feedback on the right side.
Note: To review and compare multiple Shareable QR codes at one time, click on the pie chart icon located in the top right corner of the Shareable QR code tiles you wish to analyse. This action will display a summary of the results for your selected tiles.
Example of Shareable QR Codes in Action
Flyers left onsite
Design a flyer that can be placed on the kitchen counter after a service job is finished. The flyer can include a message inviting customers to share feedback on the completed work, such as "Scan the QR code to provide your thoughts on our service quality."
The benefits of leaving a feedback flyer onsite at the end of a job are:
- The ability to engage with your customers immediately after the job is completed. When you reach out to them during their 'ah-ha' moment of seeing the finished works, they are more inclined to leave a review, increasing interaction rates.
- The ability to connect with a broader audience increases the likelihood of receiving more reviews and feedback. While you may have the contact information for the person responsible for payment, you might not have details for other key individuals on-site who also experienced your great service. By leaving a flyer, you create an opportunity to gather insights from those who directly benefited from your work, thereby enhancing your feedback collection efforts.
Table stands in a restaurant or cafe
Place printed table stands featuring your Shareable QR code throughout your venue. Ensure that staff members know these displays and emphasize the importance of delivering exceptional service that encourages customer feedback.
It’s important to note that customers tend to voice complaints more frequently than they share positive experiences. The advantage of using betterbunch Shareable QR codes is that satisfied customers will be directed to your review site, while unhappy customers will be asked to provide private feedback. This dual approach not only helps protect your online reputation but also promotes new reviews to grow your online status.
Posters in the office
Place a prominently displayed poster at the front counter or in the waiting area, encouraging customers to share their feedback and experiences with your services.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Beta?
A: The term "Beta" is commonly used in the technology world to describe a testing phase in the product development process. During this stage, a new feature is introduced to a select group of users to uncover potential issues or challenges that may not have been detected in earlier testing phases.
We ask Beta testers to engage with the product in real-world scenarios and provide valuable feedback that enables our developers to make necessary refinements before rolling out the feature to all betterbunch subscribers.
Q: What happens if a customer scans the QR code multiple times?
A: If a user scans your Shareable QR code multiple times, betterbunch will recognise them as returning visitors and only display one invitation in your Invitation Log. After 7 days, if the user scans the QR code again, they will be recognised as a new customer, and a new invitation will be generated in your invitation logs.
Q: If a contact leaves negative feedback via a Shareable QR Code, can I see their details?
A: If a customer indicates they are unhappy with your service, they will be prompted to provide feedback. After submitting their comments, they will be directed to a page where they can optionally enter their name, email address, and phone number.
When feedback is shared, an email will be sent to your notification email address. You can access and review their comments in your feedback menu. If the customer chooses to provide their contact information, it will also be visible on this page.
Q: I want to incentivise my customers to share their feedback. Can I turn my existing Shareable Link into a Better Rewards Shareable Link?
A: Yes. If you have an existing Shareable QR Code that is not a Better Rewards Invite, you can change the QR Code to allow any new scan into the draw.
To do this, navigate to your Shareables page, open the QR Code tab, and click on the 3 dots above the QR Code you wish to edit. Click Edit Design and turn the Incentive Toggle ON.
Known Issues and Limitations
Shareable QR codes are in beta testing, so we are still making minor changes to optimise and improve the feature before its official release. Please let us know if you encounter any problems or have suggestions that are not listed below.
- [Resolved 18/10/24] Currently, the option to download Shareable QR codes is not available. As a temporary solution, you can take a screenshot of the QR code for printing purposes. Our development team is quickly working on implementing a download feature.
- [Resolved 10/11/2024] The option to Incentivise your customers to leave feedback has been introduced as part of our Better Rewards programme. This is now available via a toggle switch when creating and editing your Shareable invitations.
- Shareable QR codes are intended for integration into your own branded materials. Our betterbunch development team is actively working on a new feature allowing you to download pre-designed posters, cards, and other promotional items to grow your feedback collection efforts. As a short-term workaround, we suggest using a design platform such as Canva to create your own Shareable QR code material.
