Introducing Shareable Links (Beta)

We're excited to introduce Shareable Links—Dynamic links that can be shared anywhere, helping gather more reviews than ever before. As this is a beta release, we're eager for your feedback to help refine the feature before its full release.

Feature Overview

Introducing our latest feature, Shareable Links!

This feature empowers you to create and measure Dynamic links, known as Shareable Links.

These Shareable Links offer seamless sharing options. Think—a button on your website, a prompt in your email signatures, a link in your monthly newsletter, and printed posters featuring a QR code all asking for feedback and reviews.

The benefit of a betterbunch Shareable link is that, just like with traditional betterbunch invitations, satisfied customers will be encouraged to leave a review, while dissatisfied customers will be prompted to share private feedback. This feature not only boosts your online reviews but also safeguards your online reputation at the same time.

When users click the Shareable Link, they are directed to your Happy V Unhappy page, where they can share their sentiments.

Here's an example of our betterbunch Shareable Link in action. This is what your customers would experience when they interact with your Shareable Link.

Each click is recorded as a unique invitation in your Invitation Logs, enabling you to monitor the click count and the feedback received through the link.

For instance, you could add a Shareable Link to Tony's email signature and another to Jill's, prompting customer feedback. Shareable Links allows you to track the click count for each email signature and identify which link resulted in the highest Google reviews or negative feedback.

As this is a beta release, we’re eager to hear your feedback to help us refine Shareable Links before the full launch.

Step-by-step Guide to creating Shareable Links

If you are interested in accessing this feature during its beta phase, please email us at help@betterbunch.com. Once enrolled in the beta program, complete the steps below to create your Shareable Links.

  1. Login to your betterbunch account.
  2. Navigate to Shareables in the left menu.
  3. Click on Add new link and give the link a unique name in the Link name field to quickly identify its location. We recommend using a descriptive name like 'Website feedback page' or 'Office email signature'.
  4. After creating the link, a new Shareable Link tile will be generated.
  5. To copy the link, hover over the tile and Click to copy. Feel free to return to this page whenever you need to copy the link again.
  6. Place the Shareable Link in a convenient location for customers to engage with. View real-life examples of Shareable Links to spark inspiration and ideas.
  7. Going forward, when a unique user clicks on the Shareable link, a new invitation will be recorded in your Invitation logs.
  8. Each interaction/click will be recorded as an invite in your invitation log. The Shareable link name will be listed under the Shareable heading, while customer contact details will remain blank.
  9. You can track interactions with Shareables by visiting Analytics or exporting the data in a .csv format for custom reports in Excel.

Measuring the results of your Shareable Links

To view the results of a Shareable link, follow the steps below.

  1. Login to your betterbunch account.
  2. Navigate to Shareables in the left menu.
  3. Click on the three dots located on the right side of the Shareable Link tile you wish to analyse, and then choose the Analytics option from the menu.
  4. Review the data in the pop-up.
    • The first bar, labelled 'Clicked Link', shows the cumulative number of times visitors have interacted with the Shareable Link.
    • The second bar illustrates the total number of visitors who said they were happy on the left side in comparison with the number of visitors who reported they were unhappy on the right side.
    • The third bar displays the number of happy visitors who proceeded to your chosen review site on the left side, in comparison with the number of unhappy visitors who provided negative feedback on the right side.

Note: To review and compare multiple Shareable Links at one time, simply click on the pie chart icon located in the top right corner of the Shareable Link tiles you wish to analyze. This action will present you with a summary of the results for your selected tiles.

Example of Shareable Links in Action

Using Shareable links online

A hyperlink (or simply a "link") is a clickable element on a web page that directs you to another resource. Hyperlinks are a fundamental part of the web, enabling easy navigation between interconnected resources.

Turn your Shareable link into a hyperlinked phrase such as 'Let us know how we did here'.

Here's an example of our betterbunch Shareable Link in a hyperlinked phrase. This is what your customers would experience when they interact with your Shareable Link.

Publish the phrase in your email signatures, on your website, in your invoice reminders, or anywhere else online that your customers may interact with you.

The location and appearance of the hyperlink tool may vary depending on the platform you're working from. In most programmes, the tool for hyperlinking text will look like a chain link 🔗.

Sending betterbunch invitations from another CRM

Suppose you have a job management platform or CRM that sends your betterbunch invites for you (for example, SAM automotive software or Exact dental software). In that case, we can update your existing Custom URL to a new Shareable Link.

The updated Shareable Link offers enhanced tracking capabilities, allowing us to monitor your link's performance more effectively and gain deeper insights into customer sentiment.

Important Note: Currently, Shareable links use 70+ characters, which isn't ideal for inclusion in SMS messages. We are actively working on shortening the length of Shareable links to make them more suitable for other communication platforms.

In the meantime, if you wish to use Shareable Links while sending invites from another CRM, please contact us, and we can manually adjust the link's length for you.

Shareable links in print

Shareable Links can be turned into QR codes using a QR code generator app. Once you have created a QR code and connected it to your new Shareable Link, you can introduce it into print throughout your business.

Note: We are currently developing our betterbunch QR code generator along with a range of posters, stickers, cards, and other printable materials that will be available soon.

Stay tuned for this exciting new feature!

For now, consider using a third-party site like Canva to generate the QR code and other branded documents. Here are some ideas.

  • Design a flyer that can be placed on the kitchen counter after a service job is finished. The flyer can include a message inviting customers to share feedback on the completed work, such as "Simply scan the QR code to provide your thoughts on our service quality."
  • Give clients thank you cards that prompt them to share feedback on the services received.
  • Display a poster at the front counter or waiting room, inviting customers to share their feedback and experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Beta?

A: The term "Beta" is commonly used in the technology world to describe a testing phase in the product development process. During this stage, a new feature is introduced to a select group of users to uncover potential issues or challenges that may not have been detected in earlier testing phases.

We ask Beta testers to engage with the product in real-world scenarios and provide valuable feedback that enables our developers to make necessary refinements before rolling out the feature to all betterbunch subscribers.

Q: What happens if a customer clicks on the link multiple times?

A: If a user clicks on your Shareable Link multiple times, betterbunch will recognise them as returning visitors and only display one invitation in your Invitation Log. After 7 days, if the user clicks on the link again, they will be recognised as a new customer, and a new invitation will be generated in your invitation logs.

Known Issues and Limitations

Shareable Links are in beta testing, so we are still making minor changes to optimise and improve the feature before its official release.  Please let us know if you encounter any problems or have suggestions that are not listed below.

  • Currently, Shareable links use 70+ characters, which may not be ideal for SMS messages with third-party SMS providers. We are working on shortening the Shareable link to make it more suitable for SMS messaging with other providers.
  • [Resolved 09/09/2024] Companies can filter their data on the analytics page by SMS invitations, email invitations, and Shareable Links. However, please note that if you have multiple Shareable Links, you cannot filter by individual links. We recommend utilising the Export feature and creating custom reports in Excel for a more detailed analysis of each link's performance.
